Human Resources/ Business Development Internship Duties and Functions
Ideally looking for someone to complete a 1-year internship.
Expected hours each week: 15-20 hours.
Aiding the full-time career recruiter.
- Helping to source potential full time career candidates from Indeed, LinkedIn and other platforms.
- Reaching out for initial screening calls and setting initial interviews.
- Scheduling and updating candidate information as they move through interview process.
- Possibly helping to conduct full time interviews.
Marketing Northwestern Mutual’s internship program and full-time career on campus
- Sharing information and documents about the programs with relevant classes and individuals.
- Finding outreach opportunities for Advisors to be a part of on the TAMU campus.
- Connecting internship candidates with our Internship Coordination team.
Aiding the internship program
- Sending out daily and weekly activity reports to financial representative interns.
- Helping financial representative interns set weekly and monthly goals.
- Keeping track of progress towards goals.
Processing insurance applications
- Helping to process applications for financial representative interns and under 1-year advisors.
- Making sure applications have all the needed information and are processed in a timely manner.
Taking part in Community outreach opportunities
- Attending networking events with other interns and under 1-year advisors.
Qualifications for Internship Position
- Self-Starter and ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to network and build positive relationships with others
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other programs
- Receptive to coaching and working with a team
Other relevant information
- This internship is paid
- Schedule is flexible. We will work with you to make sure your internship schedule works with your class schedule.
- Training start date is flexible and can start between early December to January 2nd
